Description
This series explores how psychiatric institutions might have looked and felt in the early 1900s—through the lens of fashion photography. Inspired by stories, films, and historical accounts, the images reflect on a time when mental health care was often cold, experimental, and deeply flawed. Rather than aiming for accuracy, the project presents a personal take on the atmosphere of these places—mixing discomfort, control, and a sense of detachment in both styling and setting. Made at a time when mental health is finally being talked about more openly, the series looks back—not to moralize, but to reflect.
