Description
The Modern Panopticon is a socially critical fashion editorial exploring surveillance in contemporary society. Inspired by philosopher Jeremy Bentham’s concept of the panopticon, the series draws parallels between systemic control and the Hong Kong protests, where fear and observation shape behaviour. Using symbolic styling and protest-inspired props—like laser pointers, umbrellas, and tin foil—the project reflects on the loss of anonymity and the creativity of resistance. As surveillance intensifies globally, the fight for freedom grows more urgent.
